DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT: Position is responsible for monitoring all areas of the buildings, facilities, facility grounds and parking areas of the Health Facility to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and employees. Incumbent will work rotating shifts as assigned by the supervisor. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Health System provides comprehensive health care services to Native Americans living within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation through the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Community Hospital (CNCH) and five (5) ambulatory health centers in Eufaula, Okemah, Okmulgee, Sapulpa and Coweta. The Health System also maintains eight (8) Field Health operations consisting of Behavioral Health Services (BHS); Vocational Rehabilitation Services; Contract Health Services (CHS); the Community Health Representative (CHR); the Elderly Nutrition (ENP); and the Women’s, Infants and Children (WIC) Programs; the Tobacco Prevention (TPP); and the Diabetes Prevention Programs.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must meet the following requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Completion of program or training required to perform duties as an unarmed security guard. Training must be C.L.E.E.T. accredited and meet requirements for training for the state of Oklahoma. One (1) year of relevant work experience in same or related setting. Valid C.L.E.E.T. License for unarmed guard (Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training) is required.
EVALUATION METHODS: Applicants who meet the requirements described above will be evaluated to determine the extent to which they possess or have the potential to acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics, (KSAP's) required of this position. Applicants should address the following KSAP's on a separate attachment to their application.
1. Ability to confront adverse and potential hostile situations and resolve tactfully and safely.
2. Skill and ability to make quick decisions and apply safety/security knowledge in emergency situations.
3. Ability to document and maintain a filing system composed of required reporting materials.
4. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with patients, Health System Staff, Tribal and Non-Tribal contractors, governmental agencies, vendors as well as the public, both orally and in writing.
