Position:  Pharmacist - Sapulpa

Starting Salary:  Negotiable

DESCRIPTION OF ASSIGNMENT: The purpose of this position is to provide necessary management of the designated clinic pharmacy within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Health System and to provide medication/pharmacy services to the patients and staff at the health center. This position is located in the Sapulpa Indian Health Clinic, in Sapulpa Oklahoma. The Health System provides comprehensive health care services to Native Americans living within the Muscogee (Creek) Nation through the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Community Hospital (CNCH) and five (5) ambulatory health centers in Eufaula, Okemah, Okmulgee, Sapulpa and Coweta.  The Health System also maintains eight (8) Field Health operations consisting of the Behavioral Health Services (BHS); Vocational Rehabilitation Services;  Contract Health Services (CHS); Community Health Representative (CHR); the Elderly Nutrition (ENP); the Women’s, Infants and Children (WIC) Programs;  the Tobacco Prevention; (TPP);  and the Diabetes Prevention Programs.

 


REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Incumbent must be a graduate of an accredited college/university of Pharmacy or is a Public Health Service (PHS) Pharmacy Officer.  One (1) year of relevant experience as a Pharmacist or PHS Pharmacy Officer. Incumbent is required to possess a current Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy license or current license as required by the PHS Commissioned Corp.

 


EVALUATION METHODS: Applicants who meet the requirements described above will be evaluated to determine the extent to which they possess or have the potential to acquire knowledge, skills, abilities and personal characteristics, (KSAP's) required of this position. Applicants should address the following KSAP's on a separate attachment to their application.

 

1.   Knowledge of management, administrative functions and processes in personnel management, procurement of drugs, preparation of reports, ability to interpret, monitor, and enforce standards for pharmacy principles and practices.

2.   Must be in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy of the State in which he or she is licensed.

3.   Knowledge of planning, implementing, directing, and evaluating pharmacy services.

4.   Ability to apply professional pharmacy principles and practices to inpatient pharmacy settings.

5.   Ability to supervise other employees.

6.   Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with executive-level staff, health care professionals as well as the public both orally and in writing.
