How to Apply for Employment
Persons interested in employment
with the Division should follow these steps:
Complete an Application for Employment.
All persons applying for
employment with the Health System are required to complete an employment
application for each position for which they are applying. We accept
mailed resumes, however, an application must also be completed be each
potential employee.
Address KSAP’s
Each position has a unique
Vacancy Announcement with provides specific details and requirements of
the position; or Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal characteristics
which serve as a way for applicants to exhibit specific qualifications for
a particular position. Applicants should address all KSAPs.
Indian Preference
The Health System applies Tribal and
Indian Preference in all hiring and employment decisions in accordance
with Tribal Ordinance as established by National Council Act 81-40. To
receive preference an applicant must submit verification in the form of a CDIB (Certified Degree of Indian Blood) Card or Citizenship Card.
Pre-Employment Requirements
The Health System conducts a
background investigation on all potential employees that is agreed upon in
the Employment Application. Additionally, the Health System maintains a drug
free workplace. Employees must complete a pre-employment physical,
including a urine-drug screen. After employment, the Health System may randomly
test employees for drug usage.
