Healthy Behaviors for Preventing Type 2 Diabetes

How are doing with the healthy behaviors listed below?

The more these become a routine part of your life, the more you are likely to avoid diabetes.

Eating Well

I limit high fat foods like French fries, chips, bologna or sausage to 2 or less servings a week.

I limit sweet foods like cake, pies and candy to small servings on special occasions.

I limit starchy foods like potatoes, bread, corn, rice and pasta to 3 servings/meal.

I drink water or sugar free drinks only.

I eat second servings less than twice a week.

I eat at regular times, 4-6 hours apart.

Being Active

I walk or do other non-stop exercise for 30 minutes or more.

I do the above exercise 5 - 7 days a week.

I find a way to exercise during bad weather.

I enjoy active sports 1 - 3 times a week.

I increase my daily activities by doing yard work, gardening or walking short distances.
