MUSCOGEE (CREEK) NATION HEAD START
CHILD NUTRITION

  • Staff and parents work together to identify each childs nutritional needs.
  • Full day centers must provide 2/3 of the child's daily needs.
  • Each child receives CACFT/USDA Daily recommended allowance of food from the five food groups pyramid
  • We pay paticular attention to sugar usage (because of diabetes) and bake or boil all our meals.
  • We offer a cultural meal once every 6 weeks and serve a variety of foods.
  • We substitute foods for children with medical or religious beliefs.
  • We post "and justice for all" posters at every center.
